Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 3-4 slices ripe pear
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz honey syrup 1:1 honey and hot water
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • Ice for shaking and serving
  • Optional garnish: pear slice or lemon twist

Method
 

  1. Prepare honey syrup by mixing equal parts honey and hot water until fully blended. Let cool.
  2. Muddle pear slices in a cocktail shaker until broken down.
  3. Add bourbon, lemon juice, honey syrup, and bitters to shaker.
  4. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds.
  5. Double strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
  6. Garnish with a pear slice or lemon twist.

Notes

- Bartlett and Anjou pears work best for flavor and texture.
- For extra spice, try a dash of cinnamon or clove bitters.
