Spicy Mango Mezcalita Recipe

Jump to Recipe

If you love cocktails that walk the line between sweet and spicy, the Spicy Mango Mezcalita is calling your name. With rich mango flavor, the depth of mezcal, and the sharp zing of lime, this drink is a sensory experience — perfect for warm nights or impressing at your next gathering.

The secret lies in the balance. The jalapeño isn’t overpowering — just enough to make your lips tingle and your tastebuds wake up. Mezcal’s smoky character adds complexity, grounding the fruity brightness with earthy depth.

It’s not just a cocktail — it’s a moment. One sip and you’re somewhere sunny, maybe with sand between your toes and a bowl of chips and guac at your side. And the best part? It takes just a few minutes to mix up.

  • 2–3 slices fresh jalapeño (plus more for garnish)
  • Tajín or chili salt, for rimming (optional)
  • Ice
  • Lime wedge and jalapeño slice, for garnish

  4. Shake: Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until chilled.
  5. Strain & serve: Strain into your prepared glass over fresh ice.
  6. Garnish: Add a lime wedge and a jalapeño slice for extra flair.
